Here's the deal. There is a techno band called "The Monkey Mafia". They've apparently been around since 95 but I've never heard of them. I came up with "Matt and The Monkey Mafia" in about 98, never heard of them, but still, I guess I'm technically ripping them off. So should I call my "band" what I was going to call my album "The Up Down Christ Bomb" which in Wingdings font spells out "CHUM"... don't ask.=. That or Audio Torture is a fitting and surprisingly orginal band name. Watchya think?

  2. Go with Karrot, but make the K and the second R backwards :p ~ Tyler

then on teh cover of a cd you could have some guy running away covering his bleeding ears with a pair of headphones on the ground behind him

shweet. I might go with that... how does this sound...

Audio Torture, with their debut album "The Up Down Christ Bomb"

heh, that has to be the CD title just because I had this shirt that I had no idea what it was for, it just said "CHUM" on the front. And on the back it said, "THE SOUND IN TERRORAMA!" And had crazy pictures on the back.

I guess it's a radio station or something. But on the bottom of the shirt it had a thumbs up, a finger pointing down, a cross, and a bomb. I had no idea what it was, so it was my "Up down christ bomb" shirt. Then I checked it out in wingdings font and it just spells "CHUM" so... yeah.

Pizzlestains Deluxe is me and a guitarist I know... totally different band. MATMM was my solo project. :p

  8. hmmm... i dunno, i think you should switch it. audio torture sounds like it would be more fitting as an album name.
as far as Up Down Christ Bomb; it just sounds so perfectly messed up and weird. i say go with that for your name.

ooh....how about The Indifferent Peace flag Burning Snowflake mafia!

KAROT spelled in wingdings....interpreted to sound best, and without 2 Rs, because that would look silly.

Audio Torture for your Audio Slave?

I don't like any of them.

How about "El Viking" or, "The Viking". Same thing, but, "El Viking" sounds way cooler.

"El Viking" sounds like "ill Viking", and that would be cool to. In a american urban slang kinda way.

Serious time(Like grown up people have): Stick with the monkey mafia, I always thought it was a kick ass name.

So I guess no one can ever use the word "audio" in their band name again? :meh:

I'm going to let this thread sit for a while before I finalize my thoughts on a bandname.

ha, I actually kinda like "El Viking" :p

BTW: The band I'm naming is half in jest. I mean, I'm sometimes trying to create interesting music, but also scare stoners. I dunno. Here's a song, Never before released on Talkbass :smug: for those of you who don't know of my "band" (aka Just me).
