Hi All. I'm looking for a new head to go with a single Avatar CB-115H cab (600 watts). I am leaning toward the Firebass II or Max 700 heads or the Peavey BAM head. I will probably add another Avatar 115 cab in the future. Does anyone know how the BAM would sound with 1 or 2 - 1x15 cabs? I am wondering if it would sound too muffled, and if I would be better off with a single 15 and maybe a 2x10 or 2x12. Thanks for any input.
  2. I've only heard the BAM through a 2x10 (the combo) or a BAM head and a 4x10 cab. Both sounded absolutely amazing. Depending on the 15" driver you may get a lack of definition with a 1x or 2x15. I suggest either a 210, 410 or 212.

Ok, maybe a 2x10 is the way to go with this head. I play covers with a Ric 4003 and a Schecter active 4 string. It seems this amp would give all the different tones needed to cover the covers! :)
  4. I suggest you buy 2 separate Avatar 2x10s. The BAM can run at 2ohms, so for practices you can have the one 210, and for gigs both of them together.
