That was my first time hearing a sadowsky (that I know of anyway) It sounds damn good I think I see what the hype is all about which model was that?

I always enjoy your clips, F. Another good one! You have a great quirky sensibility in your playing, dood.

My latest bass acquisition (should be finished any day now) began with GAS for a Sad Metro, but got re-directed. Hope I don't come to regret not jumping on the Sad!

Very happenin sound clips. Is it me, or was I hearing what sounded like fretless tones in there? Very jaco-esque. (and if that ain't a compliment, what is? Thanks!

    thanks everyone!

i've had other comments about fretless sounds coming out of my fretted clips.

i suppose it comes from years of playing fretless only.

    light touch perhaps?

    that was my Modern 5:

i listen to a lot of Beefheart and Henry Cow

    Hey Fred,

Now that you've had your new Sadowsky, care to comment on differences between your Modern 5 and the Vintage 5? Do you prefer one over the other? Does the 24 fret neck feel dramatically different from the Vintage neck (21 or 22 frets ..don't remember)

Do you think the Modern or Vintage are more versatile. Do you prefer the Vintage or Modern 5?

    Roscoe:

i gravitate towards the Modern 5 over the V5.

it just feels like home to me more than the V5. not sure why. probably the rosewood (which has always been my fboard of choice).

i still absolutely ADORE my V4.

can't wait for the Modern 4 to come out later this year!!!
