Whats louder? A 2x12 95dB SPL or a 2x10 100dB SPL. The 212 is a SWR Bigfoot and the 210 is an EBS-210. What will cut through best?

  2. All things being equal, the 100db cab will be louder. But at what frequency? You're comparing apples to oranges so all things are not equal. 2x10 cabs in general are pretty notorious for running out of gas as the frequency drops. The 2x12 cab may be able to reproduce low frequencies at higher db's that the 2x10 cab, who knows? The best thing to do would be to A/B the cabs and see which you like better. 95db isn't a very effecient cab though. That's on a par with Acme cabs which are known to require mucho power.

Yes, thats what I noticed on my last rehersal. I pushed my amp a little to much and it sounded a bit stressed. So I think I will look for more efficient cabs now.:(
