    ...then you grandma was hip to Ray Brown!
    ;)

    I used to get home from school to catch Griffin's afternoon variety show...Ray Brown on bass(nice tone he got ouuta that sunburst Fender P-bass) + others (I recall Plas Johnson on sax).
     
  3. Wow, I use to watch Merv. I had no idea I was listening to Ray Brown. I was young though.

    Buddy Rich an Mel Torme was on a lot. Here's one of the Buddy Rick band doing bird land.
