So I was looking around on YouTube and one of the videos that popped up was by a guy named Anthony Wellington and it was about the Rhythm Yardstick and it was part of a clinic he was doing with Victor Wooten. It was actually pretty cool, but I have never heard of this guy before. You should check it out and if you have any other videos etc. maybe you can post them for others. http://youtu.be/8Sw_trDFJw8
+1. And yes, Anthony is a member here. I intend to get myself a webcam one of these days so I can skype me some lessons with him.
I feel like an idiot, after I posted this I saw he is in the "Ask a Pro Section"... I will have to check out those DVD's!
I bought that a year before I started playing bass. There's some good lessons there that apply to drumming too, like the rhythm yardstick.
Wellington is bad! I appreciate his philosophy & approach to creativity. I think he would kill on any instrument.
He did a great clinic at a DC/VA/MD GTG a few years back, he is a good educator as well as a great player.
yes excellent teacher. If I had to follow only one person for instruction on youtubes he would be it.
