Anton Riegel Double Bass

Hello, I have a question concerning the following: has anybody tried his hands on an Anton Riegel Double Bass?
The only thing I could find on them on the net is that these basses are some sort of a joint-venture: the wood is from a German woods merchant, carving and building is done in a Korean workshop and final touches are applied in the Pro Arte workshop. They claim it can compete with a German handmade 'Student' instrument (which, with my skills, will be more than enough).
There popped one up in the local (well, 300 kms from where I live) classifieds, and at a very sharp price (they retail new at ~ 2650 €, the guy is asking about half of it), but I was wondering if there was anyone who has experience with one?
