I'm currently using a set of DR Marcus Miller 45-105 stainless steel strings.I would like to try some 30-90 guage strings on my Yamaha RBX270L.What sort of adjustments would be needed to try these out?

I'm thinking along the lines of the truss rod and the nut maybe? Or can I just shove 'em on there?

I'm looking for a funky sounding string, but with some growl. I've come across the Warwick black label range and the DR high beam that's available in this particual guage but none other's so far.Any recommendations?

You won't have to adjust the nut but you may have to adjust the neck a tad - no more than 1/8 turn at a time until you get the feel for it (if you already do accept my apologies :) )
