    All,

Did you play any 5 or 6 strings bass with a shorter scale (32" and below) that was strung with a Low B? what was the experience?

    Thanks, Paolo

I'm currently playing a 5-string Birdsong that has a 31" 24 fret scale. The B-string is tight and plays VERY WELL.If you go to the Birdsong site, look up the Hy5 and it will give you all the infomation of Scott's little invention he pattented to make the 5th string tight.
My experience has been GREAT. I play Country and Country Rock,so I use the B-string alot.I can't vouch for any oyher 5-string short-scale,but I LOVE my Hy5....Scott has a "KEEPER" in that department.
    LOL
