Any extra extra large pedalboards?

Hi, I've been thinking of combining my 2 pedalboards into 1, so I don't have to
care about connecting all those cables together (2 in and out, 2 expression)
and having said cables hang, cause the pedals are close together to save space,

but I can't find a large enough pedalboard.
Either I put all effects in a row, which would require a width of 1,2 meters,
or sort of ontop of eachother, preferably with an elevated "second floor" style board,
which would require it to be 60 cm long and 30 cm wide..

So does anyone know any brand that makes huge boards, or will I have to put one together myself?

    Size: 16.5in x 43.2in (420mm x 1098mm)
16" deep should be enough for 2 rows of pedals
Edit: they also do custom length boards, not sure of pricing

Looks like I probably can fit em all on there, if I do some planning, thanks!

Rockboard has a great series of pedalboards, with the largest being 39-1/2 x 16-1/2.

Home Depot has plenty of wood for very large pedal boards.
    I made my own.

Which brings up a good question for @Bane64 - How much does weight matter? You're already going to be pushing it up with the amount of pedals you plan to use, so would it be beneficial to try and keep the board itself as light as possible?

Weight is no issue for me.

Yeah probably. I am pretty cheap, a carpenter by trade and have a shop full of tools so there's that too.

Son of a carpenter here, and I totally understand that 100%. With weight not being an issue it opens up having one made to his specs, maybe even a two tier.

Pegboard and zip ties? There are plastic or metal pegboards too. Screw on some rubber feet for the bottom. Gator keyboard gig bag. Works.

  12. Try the effects forum here on TB, they probably have many ideas.
Most all my effects on VSTs and a simple midi pedal board mimics anything and all I'd ever need to control in the VSTs.

Funny that this came up today. I just sold my Pedaltrain Pro this afternoon. I Figured what I was using didn't quite fill it so I could downsize.

I also know that if I showed up with that monster with no more than 4 pedals my band would have a fit... they can't even handle my playing a Fender VI because it "makes me look like a guitar player". IMG_1536.JPG

Make one.. Put your pedals on a piece cardboard with cables and supply hooked up and trace everything.. So you know size you need.. Then get the wood.. And a sketch and go for it.

This is very good advice! We made my mom a sewing machine table custom for her by taping off the space on the floor with masking tape to get the right size.

    Right Here.
I am in the midst of building a giganto-pedal board because I could not find one large enough to fit everything I want for handling three different inputs (bass, baritone and sax/flute). I hunted forever for something with a 18" depth and finally ended up pricing aluminum channel. The plan is to TIG together something fairly light with Holeyboard style deck strips (using zip ties and rubber spacers for feet), possibly 2 tiers to cut the foot print. As for the case, I'll either build it or have it built. Without a second tier, the footprint would likely need to be 36"x18", which is a size tough to come by in something light. I'll post photos as things come along.

  17. I built a giant board a few years ago. Used a big piece of shelving I picked up from either Lowe’s or Home Depot (can’t remember which) what I didn’t consider was how much it would weigh once it had pedals all over it. I didn’t consider how awkward it can be to move really big pedalboards. And I really didn’t think abojt how some of the stages I play I have very little floor space. So basically what happened is I had all these pedals I wanted to use but didn’t want to move the board so it ended up staying at home all the time. Eventually I bought a pedaltrain mini and have stuck to that since. When I want to use a different pedal I’ll just have the pedal sitting on the floor next to my board. Eventually I plan on building a second small board that I can setup side by side with the mini just to keep things organized. But the second board would mainly be for pedals I wouldn’t use with my band. For example I like using reverb and looper pedals when I’m at home but never use them with the band.

Zoom missed the mark on advertising for this pedal! That pic would have been perfect :)

Alright, so I'ma build one, but the one thing stopping me is the finish..
Read some stuff about this and it seems that polyeurothane is good, but what else is there?
Do I just slobber that stuff on, let it dry and boom bam, or do I need to add other stuff first? Saw some stuff about staining, but couldn't quite make out what is better for what.
