I have avtive EMG CS's right now. I would love to be able capture the "P&J tones. Any ideas?
    Thanks.

I know EMG makes p and j style configurations of Humbucker housings. The 35J and 35P4.

I was told that I would really need to go with passives to really capture the true P&J sounds.

I've never heard an EMG P & J combo in the humbucker housing. I know that if you're looking for true P&J tones you're gonna have to go passive. It's just a totally different characteristic going from active to passive. Especially since EMGs tend to be a bit bright.
