After playing for nearly 16 years in a variety of blues and rock bands, I am finding myself repaeating the same lines over and over. I'd like to find a good jazz teacher who can teach as well as provide a little inspiration in the TO area Darin
Have you thought about taking lessons with Orin Isaacs? He's the bandleader on the Open Mike show, and my bass teacher was telling me that one of his 'graduating' students was going for a lesson or two with Orin. Might be something to look into.
ya know I was just thinking about making this very thread....I also am looking for a good teacher who can give me some know. I saw Orin do a clinic on the music industry. He is a very driven and ambitious man. quite inspiring. He was also very open to the idea of anyone sending him an e-mail and asking for assistance in the industry. btw he does alot more than just be band leader on a talk show....his website is here: http://mocamusic.com/ gotta love those basses he plays too...mmmm Vadim
