    saw this bass on a commercial for the flower power cd set thing, and on born to be wild's little video clip it zoomed in on their bass player with one of these things

    anyone have info on it?

    It's a Rickenbacker brand bass guitar. Not sure of the model, but I've seen one or two.

    thats pickup spacing to the extreme.. that bridge pickup has to be Zinggggggyyyyy

    oh man... that's some ear porn. it cuts right through the mix. definitely something i'll have to play once before i die (but probably never will LOL).

    Used one for 29 years. At first I didn't think it was "growly" enough. But it sure sounded just fine on recordings and in the mix live.

    Sold mine cause now they have become too expensive to risk taking out and using.
