This is on a Goodwill auction site that ends in 2 hours:

I'll be the first to admit that it is most likely not a Fender. However, it appears to be solid wood & possibly old (it also could be a Squier Affinity that someone had fun relicing!).

T-rod adj. appears to be at the body end of neck, Tuners look somewhat reverse Kluson-like, but the diameter of the tuner shafts (?) look smaller than what they should be. Doesn't appear to be a strap button hole on back of headstock either.

Looks like 70's Dimarzio pickups (again, I could be wrong).

Does anybody have any ideas on this one?

It's at $219.00 now, I'm somewhat tempted, but that little voice in my head (one of several in there... ;)) is saying "don't be a fool...

I'd love to get anyone's thought.

I'm almost positive this has come up before (I'd have to search for the previous post(s)) and it was thought to be a Japanese knock-off of some sort. I recognize the odd bridge and the knobs.

Sorry I can't give more detail though. I'd say listen to the voice. :)

    Thanks.

I have to agree... I almost swear that I've seen this before...

  4. Yep. Me too. Seems like a month ago or so someone bought it from Goodwill for $850 or so thinking it was an old vintage Fender Jazz.
I remember the headstock were the logo and paint was stripped.

YES!!! Thanks Willie, I was sure that I had seen it before.

Apparently whoever thought that it was worth $751.00 wised up & didn't pay. Thus here it is again.

I thought it looked familiar, but I couldn't find the thread.

  7. I liked the mystery of it all. I hope it shows up for sale again in a few months.
