Any Idea's as to wood and bass ?

    That seems kinda suspicious to me... the seller says it's a 4-string, but where the bridge is, there are 5 holes for ferrules...

    As for the body wood, I have no clue what it is, I'd need a closer shot to be able to tell.

    probably just screw holes, not ferrules.

    And the wood is going to be impossible to identify because it is stained and finished as well as a small pic.

    Looks like ash or maple to me, but with that staining, who knows?
  5. The five holes ARE for bridge screws.

    The wood looks more like basswood than ash or maple. Same stuff many basses are made of.

    The body is a Jay Turser prototype. Its probably alder. There are some 4 string versions aleady completed on ebay. The new ones dont look bad, just no 5 strings.
