    Im a big fan of the Scheffenator. he sure knows how to TCB.

    I think Sheff is great. His playing is so groovy and free while with Elvis. He has a great tone.

    Big fan. With Elvis(both of 'em), The Doors, T-Bone Burnett, you-name-it. A truly classic, solid, and still very melodic and inventive player.
    Love all his sounds, from the classic P to his Longhorn phase.
    (A couple years ago I was tracking at Sunset Sound in Hollywood and spotted a picture of him from the 80's playing a Yamaha bass exactly like one I had with me that day----good omen I thought for the session . . .:)

    His bass work on the Elvis Las Vegas DVD (particularly Suspicious Minds) slays me every time.... :cool:

    Love his work with The Doors. The bassline for Riders On The Storm has a sort of dark, ominous groove that captured the spirit of that tune perfectly... :eek:
