I've got one - in fact, it's my main bass. Ive had it since 97, got it used at BassNW, never once regretted it. Playability is great, had a problem with the stock preamp (bad pot) so I bought a preamp direct.

One of my mates has one and I'm extremely jealous. We can't get them in Austr any more. Fat punchy sound, very musical midrange which is rare in basses, and a standard hip-shot to detune the E string. Great looking bass and it feels beautiful.

    I've had one since 90.
Matter of fact it's one of the ones made by the Fender Custom Shop.
It's a great bass. Never had any problems with it.
Has tone versitality, lightwight and balanced.
And going from E to D with a flip of your thumb is nice. Has a fast thin neck.
I checked out Phillip Kubiki's website and there were some nice natural finished basses. Mine is a dark burgundy red busrt.
    For me it's a keeper.
