It appears that The Bass Company Company may be defunct, or at least on hiatus. I know there were some real issues with some of their later basses, but I really enjoy my AP500M (in avatar.) It looks like most of the frenzy about them was kicked off when TBC blew out the China-made models a few years ago, but that died down once the stock was gone. I play mine at least as much as I play my G&L Tribute L2500. Completely different feel (much lighter and a MUCH flatter neck) and a completely different sound. Am going to have some shielding work do to as there is a ground buzz issue, but small price to pay for this bass. Just wondering if other owners are still playing their TBC's and whether there is still some TBC GAS happening?

I always wanted to try one, but since they're so hard to come by, that makes it a bit difficult now. I was tempted when the website was still up and they were producing basses though.
