any mid 80s hamer cruisebass players out there? They were incredible instruments!

  1. I had a Hamer cruise bass in the late 80s that sounded great! very woody tone with nice sounding dimarzio p-j pickups if I remember correctly. It was kind of cool looking too,pretty unique bass. Wish I still had it, but I think we all fall prey to "the grass is greener" syndrome at some time or another!(please tell me I'm not the only one to make bad judgment calls or shop on impulse!)
    I hope I find one again someday, I don't think I would let it go this time!(at least for a couple weeks or so!)

    yes sir! i played a whire one til 83 when i got my first Tobias Signature - it was a sweet bass indeed!! i still have pics playing it somewhere- me and my huge perm!!

    I own 22 basses, including a high end custom modulus, but when it comes to my favorite
    it is my mid 80's ice pearl cruise bass, i had a hipshot installed around 91. it has the best tone
    i love it. if i had to only keep one bass, it would be tha hamer, i also have a 12 string chaparal.
