Any moms on TB?

Discussion in 'Off Topic [BG]' started by bassteban, Jun 7, 2005.

  1. I know there are several dads out there- I'm an old one myself. :) Moms, you have my respect. If men had to have babies, we wouldn't(couldn't). Let's hear it for(& from)the moms. Mine bought me my first bass!

Good question. Do we have any hanging out here with us?

Did your wife make you do this?

  4. If my wife were to make me do anything(& she does), it would not involve being on the computer, let alone Talkbass. No, I'm a stay-at-home dad waiting for the arrival of our now 6 day late third child(*imagine an 'anxious' smilie here*), so my thoughts have centered around parents, parenting, childbirth, etc.

Best wishes to you and your (growing) family Bassteban. :)

  6. BTW, as a stay-at-home dad, do I qualify as an honorary mom? :meh:

  9. So if there are any "Bass Moms" out there , and they were hot, would that make them a BILF???

I'm a mom. I have two sons who are now both grown, but when I was playing bass in a nu-metal band my youngest son was in high-school and then college. When he first went to one of our rehearsals, he told me that was the band he always dreamed of playing in.

By the way, I just gifted him with my black Jackson 5-string bass, the one like Megadeth's Dave Ellefson played (probably for five minutes just long enough to get the endorsement.) I customized mine with a 3-D skull and crossbones on the body of the bass. Never did much care for the tone on that bass. Also, the B-string was always breaking...which might have been more because the band tuned down so low.

I don't now why you are asking if there are any bass-playing moms here, but I am one.

Best wishes to you in the parenting department. Having kids really changes your life in big ways and small, mostly in ways you don't expect. I'm so glad I have my sons.

You're only saying that because you don't know.
