if so, do you know what the story is on this thing? i finally got my copy today after a long search since i waited to try and find it after it went out of print :rollno:

anyway, the original lp tracks sound like a quickie vinyl transfer. complete with what sounds like surface noise, track splits with silence in between where there shouldnt be and some high frequency distortion. kind of odd for an authorized re-release.

I picked this up when it was re-issued a couple years back...I didn't realize it was now OOP again & a difficult find.

Anyway, I greatly anticipated its arrival as I missed out on it the 1st-go-round.
IIRC, I was not blown away; I probably listened to 2-3 times &, truthfully, had forgotten about it 'til now.
    I'll have a listen when I get home(if I can find it!).

yeah, i tried ordering it through my local record store and no luck. amazon says its out of stock. audiophile imports had been trying to get it for me since last year with no success. promo copies without the artwork have been going for 20 bucks on ebay so its getting pretty difficult. finally i found one on half.com new for 15 bucks so i jumped.

was it ever out before that release a couple of years ago? i know it was a japanese only lp but had never heard of it being released until that pgi/platform cd. its also kind of weird that they didnt use the original album cover. anyway, if you get a chance to take a listen, let me know what you think. im pretty sure im hearing correctly, but it wouldnt be the first time ive been mistaken ;)
