Just wondering if any one has played through a walter woods amp? i'm thinking about getting the 1200w one he sells. I've been looking at used ones and just wanted to know if they're worth the money. I play upright with emg pick ups and want alot of power from a small amp.

Lot's of TBers do. You should post on the DB site to get feeback from upright players. Basically, if you have the cash... buy one. Walter won't be making them forever, they are high quality, loud, warm, small, and worth every penny IMO. There are other amps that would work fine for you (EA, AI, etc.), but IMO there's just something magic about the Walter.

Worth every penny, especially if you double on upright.

Love mine, not a double though... not that talented... :bassist:
  5. Great amps. I'm on my way to Europe to tour August, and the WW blue light Ultra wrapped in my clothes in a suitcase is the only thing other than my MTD 535 that I carry wherever I go.

    I can always sound great.

Been using Walter's amps for 25 years. Absolutely the best!
