Any physical pedals out there that you can load and use VST effects on.

Preferable in a smaller multi effect like format.

And of course I mean an independent system, that you wouldn't have to hook up to a computer, other than to get the VST effects for it naturally.

The MOD Duo pedal is pretty close to what you need. Not really VST, but they have an extensive plugin library

Functionally....that's pretty close to an Eventide H9. You'll need to hook up to a laptop or a smart phone to do mods on the fly but once set up it's a fairly simple procedure to jump through the 100 patch slots available.

  4. Yep, as close as you may get. It's also fully expandable with extra proprietry and midi control. Takes a fair bit of tweaking cos you are basically starting with a blank canvas, but once dialled in it's unbeatable!

I think that most of the digital devices (Strymon / Eventide / Source Audio / Boss/ Mod) are all using commercially available or generic DSP's. It' then down to who you want to have programmed / modeled each effect. Personally...Eventide have a far better track record with digital effects than some unknown garage vendor offerings. Looking at the price comparison between the mod and say and Eventide H9 core...the Eventide is a far better priced unit that can be expanded over time.
