    Hi all,
is there any risk I will fry the mackie powered speakers plugging an electric bass into them and playing small gigs at half power?

(mackies are the SRM350, I play fingerstyle, no slapping)

    thanks in advance

There's always a risk, but if you keep the volume down, don't boost the bass and back off on the volume if the speaker sounds like it's in distress, you should be fine. However, if you're running the vocals or anything else through the Mackie at the same time, you won't have much volume to play with.
