Hey all, working on a restoration project, and I've been reviewing my neck options. I'm leaning towards a b. Hefner maple/rosewood jazz neck, but I had also looked at the mighty mite jazz neck. Anybody have any experience with either of these? Tips? Warnings?

Mighty mites are decent necks as are the Hefners, I know the Hefs can get really pricey really quick, so you may also want to look at Warmoth, USACG, Musikraft, and even Carvin, all of which are well made and the licensed F types are just that, so if you seek F type, you'll be pleased

Thanks, i'd looked at warmoth and carvin, I'm actually starting to lean towards the carvin. Any big difference between any of them?

I've had excellent results with Allparts. Most are MIJ and very well made.

I have a Warmoth as well as an Allparts neck. I would say their build quality is about equal. Both are a bit fatter than your average Fender neck, which I happen to be a fan of.

  6. i have a USACG, and a warmoth neck on a couple basses, and i love them both. i feel like theyre both great quality necks.

The Carvins are great also, usually very high quality, but probably the most limited as far as options, but the extra frets always are a plus for $160

So it sounds to me like these are all fairly good options, just depends on who can best accommodate whatever options I choose?

    Essentially, yes.
