It takes a while to get used to MIDI. Match the channels, then attribute parameters and you're done. Don't make patches in the pedal, just one that fits all parameters from the VF-1 and use it to select programs from the rack.
That is most likely what I want to do: * Directly access patches by number * Control certain parameters (chorus / delay rates) using the pedals. For example, if I switch to a chorus patch, I'd like to be able to control the rate with a pedal. If I then switch to a distortion patch, I may want to control drive. I just wish it was a little more straight forward. Time to mess around.
There are schematics out there to tell you how to power the FCB with phantom power using a 5 pin midi cable thus eliminating the power cord.
The manuals for the FCB1010 suck......plain & simple. The board however is fantastic when you get it going. There are 2 pieces of software you REALLY need. SendSX and the FCB1010 Editor. The editor gives you a visual graphic interface....really nice and helpful, SendSX loads the data from the editor into the FCB. Yahoo has an FCB forum with all the download (free) info, I'd send the URLs now but I'm not at home........ david
Where can I find a manual for the VF-1? I've searched the web but all I found was a tiny 'Turbo Start Guide' from Boss...
