I was just wandering how many Trace Elliot users are out there?? Doesn't matter if it is a Bass Amp or Speaker Cabinet. Tell us what you got , and how you like it. Anyone know if there is a Trace Elliot Fan Club on this site?? Thanks , Pedulla-Player

I just got my AH1000-12 Amp Head today and could use some advice on setting up the sound on it. Pedulla-Player

I'm a happy Trace Elliot user since 1984.
    I had different models.
I bought the GP11 combo I still use today in 1985.

Nope, no such group exists. No one likes Trace stuff. Complete junk.

    Sell me yours.

Genz didn't sell-out to someone else...per se. Two years ago, our parent company, Kaman Music Corp, sold to FMIC. However, Genz still belongs to Kaman Music and both Kaman Music and Genz operate as "separate business entities". In other words, all of our personnel is still entact after two years and we still manage our own company. FMIC has been very good to us.

I've had a rah 250 smx gp12 And its one that I will never get rid of. It's 250 watts but It will keep up with my DB750 and it allways sounds good no matter which bass or cab I play thru it.

Been playing a long time and still have an SVT and a SVT 3-Pro as well as an SWR SM-400
Recently bought an older Trace AH350X and have a selector box to A/B between these 4heads and a Berg HT322 and TL606 cabinets
I really like the Trace sound and it has become my number #1 head (at least for now)
Very loud, clear, musical EQ, tons of sustain, etc
Works well for me (your resuts may vary)

And to further clarify Roger's post, the same design team is still designing the Genz Benz amps going back pretty much to the beginning. I've been sitting around the Genz Benz campfire for over 15 years now. I designed the very first amp and I am still designing amps today.

I know that's not the case with all ownership changes... but sometimes, when the arrangement is good, it opens up all kinds of possibilities for us designers that wouldn't be otherwise possible.
