Anybody been to Luxembourg?

Discussion in 'Off Topic [BG]' started by Kraig99, May 24, 2003.

  1. I'm goin to Europe this summer and will have a chance for a stopover between Paris and Munich, and I was considering Luxembourg. Anybody been there? Is it worth 3 hours additional train time? What is there to do there? Thanks in advance for any replies.

There is not much to do in Luxembourg.
The town by itself is nice and funny since it's a miniature country.
The foreign minister house is a must go.
Apart of that, you mostly find banks and a great museum, that's it.
Out of the main town it's mostly forests all around.
If you have free time, there are many great places in Belgium and Germany to visit around.

Actually, between Paris and Munich, you'd much better make a stop in Strasbourg. Now, that's an amazing city to visit.

Believe it or not,I used to work with a guy who was a personal friend of the king of Luxembourg.
But I don't know anything about it.

I agree about the comments on Luxemburg. I went there in 1988 ( I was 13) and the only thing that we really did there was to go to a huge mall and stayed at some hotel. There was nothing much to do there. But Strassburg on the other hand, now that is a good city to visit.

    Not that I know of.
Last time I check it was a town in Switzerland.
  8. What is there to do in Strassburg?

A huge cathedral, european parliament, old canals running through the city, nice soccer team, beautiful market and a very active cultural life in a very old town.
