I am debating on this setup. I have a Eden 215XLT/410XLT/WT800 right now. I was wanting to put a 210 on top of the 215 and get rid of the 410. Basically it's a travel and weight issue. I love the way it sounds, but my back says no. Any comments appreciated.

I don't have a 2x15 cab but I'm currently using an Eden 210xlt on top of an Aguilar 1x15 and love it. Given your setup, the 2x15 would put the 2x10 cab right where you need to hear it. Your amp is flexible enough to accomodate this setup as well. 2x15 + 4x10 - wow that's a lot of air movin' there. I assume your playing some fairly large venues?

Right now we are playing 500 to 1000 seaters. But we are going on a mini tour in 2 weeks and these will be 2000 to 3000 seaters. I will have great PA support so all I am worried about is stage volume. Lifting the 410 on top of the 215 is not an option ( :rollno: )
  4. I used to have a Mesa Boogie Bass 400 with a Road Ready 215 and a Diesel 210 cab and it sounded great! Eventually I found that the Bass 400 wasn't loud enough and went for a vintage svt rig when I finally found one.
  5. XO-Bionic here on Talkbass uses an Eden setup: 115 and 210 with a WT500 head. I heard them play the other night and it was seriously loud, this was at a 300-400 cap bar/club with 2 all valve guitar stacks, a loud drummer and singers.

It was seriously loud without even pushing the volume, I think a 2x10 and 1x15 or a 2x10 and a 2x15 would be plenty powerful with the 800 head, see if you can try it out.

That's the setup I want, I have the 2x10 and the 2x15 but my head can't go down to 2Ohm.

Interesting thread......When I first acquired my Eden Metro, I used it with a 215, and it sounded beautiful. It was a 215 loaded with Peavey Black Widows. I absolutely loved it.

From my personal experience, that setup will be deadly loud, and have the potential to cause involuntary bowel movements.

I tried that and it creates a subwoofer effect I don't like. I need the keep the 215 upright. Good thought.

A friend used to use a Fender Bassman 400 2x10 combo on top of a Genz Benz Live Series 2x15, and it sounded great. Really synthetic, but great,

I'd like to hear that 2x15. I've been rather interested in a 2x15 for some time, and I loves me some Eden.

i'm sure you will find the 210 plus 215 adequate
if you cant get one of your band mates to help you lift the 410 you need to get into a new band

I used to have a Mesa Diesel 2x15 with a Diesel 2x10 on top of it, powered with an Ampeg SVT-III Pro. Was an incredible and loud and just everything rig. You should love it!!! I'd definitely say get it.

I have used an all-Eden rig with a 215XL and 210XLT stacked driven by a WT800. I didn't care for it much. It just didn't sound very focused. I liked both of those cabs better in other configurations. The cabs didn't seem to work together that well for me. I was in medium sized clubs using active basses, for the most part. I thought the 210XLT was a great cab for small gigs by itself. The 215XL also worked better as a standalone when I wanted a more traditional, rounder low-end.

I use and Eden 215xlt and an Eden 210 on top of that. It sounds great! Very loud, but clean. I power it with my SWR 750x which gives me all the power I would need. I am very happy with this setup because it allows me to just take my 210 to smaller gigs and the 215 to bigger venues. And if the PA is lacking this will take care of the low end for me.

Been using Edens for years, specifically 1x15 and a 2x10, I have never had a problem with stage volume under any circumstance. I have used a number of heads with this combo and it has always killed and I have used it at a lot of outdoor gigs with significant stages, so you should be fine
