Just bought this from Music-Go-Round in ABQ, NM. 5 string Warmoth Jazz-like bass, EMG humbuckers, Hipshot Ultra-Lites. No inlays, quilt top. I figure this has got to be some TB'ers (former) bass. This may or may not satisfy the crushing urge I have for a Sadowsky Modern 5, but it certainly fit my budget better than a Sadowsky.

If anybody knows anything about this bass, I'd love to hear it :) I was originally interested in it to part it out, but looking at it now I think I'll just play the sucker.

That looks cool, have you had the neck off to look for any clues?

No, still waiting for it to get delivered. It LOOKS like regular Warmoth Deluxe 5 stuff to my eye. Yes, the first knob is a skull. :ninja: I think it will also need a string retainer. Right now the pics show nothing on the headstock at all. I've never owned a bass with Hiphots - do the string posts taper downwards? Will it need a string tree(s) or retainer bar? These and other burning questions await within.
