Anybody here willing to admit they actually shop there? I just bought a recliner there over the holidays... anyone, anyone?
I only look around. Haven't found anything worth buying yet. Maybe there'll be a USA Lakland in there for $150 some day next to the $25 Squier's I see every so often. -Mike
i'm looking at a cheap little corner desk which i'm beating my head over.. it's back at 99, but was at 67 during the holidays. FAIL
you have turned into a real wise guy, no? you better get off my lawn or i'm turning on my sprinkler system!
I go to Ocean State Job Lot, which is a local Big Lots type of store. I get bulk Indian food and energy drinks there Got nice gazebo/tent thing there once as well.
I once bought a $3 pair of fender sunglasses from them, then proceeded to stab myself in the thigh whilst cutting off the plastic tag.
I've bought primarily candy there. When I was in high school, there was one across the street. all the best.
I occasionally stop in and buy small stuff. Never major purchases. Last time I was in there though I noticed that the quality of the electronics selection had significantly increased. I saw Panasonic digital cameras, Canon video cams, and other electronics in that class. bc
Ours is a really nice one, even if it is a bit of a hike. We get stuff like toothpaste, toilet paper, kleenex, etc. from the Big Lots around us. I got a drill and a wrench set from there. I got a sheet set, 400 thread count for $10, and a really nice Sealy mattress for $230. My girlfriend paid almost as much for a much more inferior mattress from Ikea.
There's one down the street from my house. I buy all my laundry detergent, garbage bags, and cleaning supplies there. I'm not ashamed at all.
there was a time in my life that i could only afford to by food from big lots and the dollar store. i'm a big fan of the store, but i'm also glad that i can shop for groceries from the grocery store. shelf stable food gets old after a while.
I collected action figures as a child and Big Lots always had them cheaper than Wal-Mart. I go there very rarely these days.
No shame in shopping there, and anyone who says there is can ba-low me. I get dry goods there, condiments, CD-r's, cheap accessories, the occasional toy and automobile maintennance products, tools, baseball gloves, basketballs, etc. All good quality stuff, and none of it has failed me for the money I've saved. Like Bryan, I also frequent Ocean State Job Lot...same deal really, I usually get foodstuffs there too, and recently got 2 pairs of Gap jeans there 10-15 bucks a pair...lots of decent stuff to be had.
