So to all of us who own Deep Impacts... I have owned 2, and BOTH of them I have had problems... But, both where noisy... Not in the usual way, but in more of the actual notes comming through are noisy - not the usualy way when nothing is being palyed...

    Anyone else have this problem..?

Not at all. What is in your signal chain before the deep impact?

Nothing :( nothing at all, its the first in my chain... It actualy sounds like a faint hiss/fuzz on the actual synthisized note.

i picked up my deep impact last night (from Monkey a fellow talkbasser) and couldnt be more happy. i cant say i really noticed the problem you are talking about. perhaps you just have a more refined ear.

Maybe I a quick sound sample so people can hear what you mean. Then people can compare

No issues here either. Perhaps a symptom of the level from your bass? What are you using? Active, passive, what else is in the signal chain?

Passive P-Bass with barts... And it dosn't matter what else is in my chain, because it does it my itself (straight into the amp)... :bawl: Deep impacts and me just don't get along I guess...

I think I understand, my G&L seems to drive the notes too hard. I fixed it by great lowering the input gain. (Like about 2 or 3). No problems with the other basses.

I'm very sensitive to noise, and I never noticed any noise problems with my Deep Impact. I used it live quite a bit, and any noise would be immediately noticeable. I never had a problem....
