Anyone else have a noisy Eden WT-600 or 800?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Dave Grossman, Apr 15, 2001.

  1. I just picked up an Eden WT-600 and found that it is really noisy. I'm pretty sure it's power amp noise and not pre-amp noise since the noise is pretty constant regardless of where the gain and volume controls are set.

It sounds like some 60Hz noise along with quite a bit of hiss.

Other than that, it's a great sounding amp. I'm going to have to return this one because the left channel is way quieter than the right channel and I want to run a stereo setup with 2 210XLT's. They don't have any more 600's so I may get the 800 or I may wait for a replacement WT-600.

Does anybody else have similar problems and/or solutions?

I read a thread in here quite a while ago in which a guy said someone from Eden told him to loosen the bolt that holds the toroidal transformer, and turn the transformer 90 degrees. He said he did it and it worked. I'd call the kiddies at Eden to find out.
