Anyone else here own and play an Alembic? I have three. Let's hear it!
My series 1 will hopefully be here sometime this month.
This thread is worthless without pics!!
Oh.. You'll get pics.. You'll get pics.
I have a Series1 made entirely of maple and purpleheart (except the ebony board) and a walnut Stanley Clarke Signature Deluxe. Both are 30.75".
Y'all heard the man. Now get on with it!!!
Those are some nice, nice looking basses. I love looking at Alembics but for some reason never clicked with the few I've tried. Too bad, I'd actually love to have one someday.
What do you have and how do you use them? Currently I have a 4 string Series I with Omega cut-out. I don't really use it that much. Ocassionally as a back up, but mostly just bangin' around at home. I also have a 5 string Mark King Deluxe with Series II electronics that is pretty much the main bass in my stable of 5 basses. I do a little bit of church praise group, a little bit of '70s - '80s funk.
I used to have:
a 1983 birdseye maple Spoiler
a 1987 Stanley Clarke Deluxe
a 1974 Series I short scale
a 1979 Series II small body 32" scale
Here is my Mark King Deluxe that I bought from BassCentral last year.
Here's my 2000 32" scale Mark King Standard w/side LED's.
Here ya go. My Europa 5 w/ Series I Electronics.
(The best playing bass I've ever played)
Series 1(not yet verified
looks like they have tight string spacing
Do they only build customs, or are there "production" line basses?
It took me 5 minutes to get my jaw off the floor to get around to see i want one!! no wait i want that one!!!
Here's my old 20th anniversary model. It's in Argentina now.
