I guess Bartolini's are delaying a bunch of basses. Mine was supposed to ship tomorrow, but...
I think I've read the Bartolini thing in another post.
What are the stats for your Zon?
I can't wait until some cash comes my way for a Zon.
Man, the Bart pups delayed my Zon 4 years ago by more than 2 months! Guess Bartolini is still putting the screws to the smaller luthiers. They have had that rep for some time now.
Here are my specs:
* Vinny (headless) 4-banger
* Swamp Ash with a California Walnut top
* Black H/W
* Dual Bart custom-wound CB Series pups
* Bart 3-band preamp with selectable mids (250/800)
I've also included a 'baby' pic. I feel like a new parent.
I have been delayed on 2 custom basses due to waiting for Barts
They should take care of the smaller guys... One day these small guys could become big guys.
Huh. Another Rhode Islander.
That's like....7 of us on TB.
Mine is supposed to arrive in September, but mine will have SDs and Barts, so maybe that means mine will come earlier I am in no rush. Mine is only the simple Sonus 5/1, in simple maple and simple alder body and fretless. I asked for the simpliest bass he could make because I am a simpleton.
Wow... i thought I might be the only one ;^). So which part of this wonderful state are you from?
No matter how simple, you'll get a killer bass from Joe. This my first one, but I've played 'em before. Never met one I didn't like.
You mean there's more than one part of RI?
P.S, could somebody PM me with an approximate quote for a Sonus 5? Ash, 2 barts, simple....
Not really. We just say that.
All, Mr. Bartolini has been tending to his wife who has been very ill. This has slowed their production.
My last Zon took 9 months but it was worth it!
I wish the Bartolini's all the best. Obviously, his family has to come first. I can wait for a bass.
I heard the same thing from another builder. Hope all is well, they make killer electronics.
