I have the svt2 pro.I bought a skb case that fits perfectly except for the front. The two handles are stopping me from attaching the face cover of the skb.I am thinking about taking the face plate off the front of the amp and removing the two handles so that they fit.Is this safe and is it pretty easy to do?If anyone has any advice or suggestions please let me know.

You would have to get into the "no user serviceable parts" areas of the amp to do that. I would not recomend it.

It would be easier to deal with the rack, I think.

    We don't "authorise" user mods.......

I believe you can order a deeper lid for your SKB. Someone markets a deeper lid with a netted zipper pocket inside, so you can store picks and spare parts, etc.. Perhaps you can get one of those and remove the interior zipper portion, leaving a deeper lid.

Yes.. what they said. Find a deeper lid. Don't be poking around the inside, especially if you don't know what you are doing. You can get a nice little shock if you don't know how to properly drain the power before opening. But that's just my $0.02
