Anyone get any great deals at the GC sale?

no but i'm sure they will have some killer deals on red and black p's that have been on the wall for a year.

 

they called my house to make sure i was coming down today to check out all their sweet stuff.....

HAH im sure there are some INCREDIBLE deals on the "bass in a box" squire starter kits and drum sticks that nobody buys in the first place.

 

I went yesterday. Sorry this isn't very specific, but they had a bunch of Fenders and MMs marked down marginally (like 5%). Aerodyne Jazz was marked down to $530 or so. 20-ish% off on a few Ibanez and Schecters. I needed a new cable, so I got a Monster Cable for 50% off. And won a T-shirt by answering a trivia question (answer was Jaco). Oh yeah...if you bought an amp for $499 or more, you could get a free Ibanez bass. Of course they didn't specify the model .

 

Got a good deal on an amp head & if I'd needed an Ampeg SVT CL I could have had a wonderful deal @ $799 less my $20 gift card they sent me.

 

I thought the GC we're givin bongos away for $600 days were gone with the new management?

 

NEW Peavey 210 Tour Cab.....MF price is $449.99 + $20 ship. Walked out the door with it for $149.99.

No dings, scratches, or blemishes and it wasn't even connected to an amp...just sitting in the corner.

 

Wait till you plug it in.

 

I picked up a American J deluxe yesterday for $1000 saved about 3-4 hundred on that.

 

Could have had one of the new matching HS Jazz Basses for $1200. I have enough Jazz Basses for now. Other than that, nothing exciting.

 

Bought a new-stock Acoustic B200 for $50 bucks off, they had a burst/rosewood American Standard P on the wall for $100 off, but the best deals I've heard of were right here, Aguilar amp for nearly 1/2 price. Search around TB; there's lots of chatter about it.

BTW: My salesguy (a good egg, him) said they have no power to bargain anymore.

The Markbass amp stuff was marked down at mine. I bit on a QSC GX5 that was marked down to $339. The Fender and MM stuff was barely marked down and just a few models. They seemed to be discounting the Ibanez basses the most (in fact, were giving away the beginner model with an amp purchase of $650).

Other than that it looked like "clean out the warehouse" time.

 

Mine has a used MIA P bass that's been sitting for a while at $699. I need to go in and see if they discounted it.

I picked up a Markbass CMD 102P for under $800 yesterday. And, I got a couple of cups of coffee and a donut.

Between the new Markbass rig, and my new Shuttle 6.0, I'm in amp heaven right now.

 

Dude . . . TONS of people buy those. Mostly moms with their 10 year old kids. But there's an awful lot of them.

 

Got two guitar stands for $5.00 each. Bought some Zeppelin strap locks. Didn't exactly make the sale worth their effort, but times are tight.

 

They had all the EBMM stuff marked down $300 at the Cedar Rapids store. I picked up a sterling just to jam a little, the strings couldn't vibrate because they were too low to the fretboard...
