    Hi!

The metro was great but I had a chance to buy Nino's caramel burst. It was exactly the bass I had imagined having built, down to color and hardward!! Couldn't pass it up. I will probably get another Metro as a backup. Can't beat them! I'm loving my standard 5, too!!

a buddy of mine has a Sadowsky Metro on order. I am looking forward to checking it out. even though I tend to favor a Passive bass sound and a P bass, I would say that the Sadowsky J has the best modern active J bass sound I have heard, so I am interetsed in seeing how the Metro stacks up to the Sadowsky NYC

    Nino,

I noticed on sadowsky's site a while ago:
    about the vintage tone control:

" The Vintage Tone Control (formerly referred to as the "passive tone control") is a treble roll-off that makes the bass warmer and darker sounding. It functions in both active and passive modes "

Does that mean that you can turn the bass active/passive with a turn of the knob?
