Andy Rice has been awesome to me. He's a bass player too, and he got me a sweet deal on the Mesa cab and even cut the shipping cost in half for me. And then there's the candy...
+1 for Derek. He's gone above and beyond expectations every time. And Sweetwater's shipping department has always packed things properly, which has not been my experience with their biggest competitors.

I like Sweetwater... I used Steve Ptak I think only once because I get better deals elsewhere unfortunately but I always gave Steve the 1st shot. Now I call RMC audiodirect for my PA & got a great deal... forgot to even give Sweetwater a chance. BTW RedhotFuzz... probably not the right section to post but the guys here are cool to answer anyway
Yeah, I went over the forum listing and didn't see an area that seemed more "appropriate" for this question. Then again, I posted a question regarding string recommendations for a Gretsch Junior Jet in the Basses section not realizing there is a dedicated forum for strings. Rookie mistake.
If places like Musician's Friend (among others) simply forward you the boxed product as received from the manufacturer, why does anyone buy from them? I bought a Taylor GS Mini from Sweetwater last year and knowing it would be hand-inspected in-house before shipping to me gave me some valuable peace of mind. Nobody wants to deal with the return of a bum piece of equipment shipped by the manufacturer (see the other thread on this forum regarding the flawed finish on the brand new Rickenbacker).
I deal with Justin L, I always thought it was just a name the would use for all their sales team, now I see tat is not the case, great service by Justin by the way.
