I saw a guy on tv that played a one string bass and a guitarist who plays a toy guitar. I like people who play outside the box, whether it's there intsrument or style. Anyone have any stories?
Michael Manring is pretty nuts. He plays an instrument he helped design called the "Ultrabass", which allows him to set multiple tunings per string, and change them on the fly. The recording quality of this concert isn't quite as good as his studio albums, but it should give you an idea:
Ya he's great. I got into him about 6 month ago, in a League of his own. I just not inspired these days by radio and really reaching to hear someone or group that get's my attention. I really love smooth jazz and fusion jazz. I feel like i have been through all the giants ( yellow jackets, spyro gyra, matt harrison although he isn't really big).
