Discussion in 'General Instruction [BG]' started by CharlesAlbright, Apr 4, 2002.

  1. I don't know what to say besides, does anyone know kool songs that aren't insanely hard, like Primus. If anyone has any ideas please post them.

What music are you into? What particular bands? Some of the easiest song(s) around are

    Any thing by Blink 182

Brainstew, Hitching a ride, When I come around- Greenday

    So What- Metallica

the list goes on but it would help if we knew what bands/music Genres you liked.
  5. I'm into SOAD (but i already know everything by them), AFI, Pennywise, and just about anything elese besides metallica and new metal (staind, puddle of mud, creed, etc). I played jungle boogie for a class in school and I thought that was pretty cool, on bass anyway. I hope that helps.

    Pennywise- Bro Hymn
    - F*** Authority
    - Kodiak

You dont like nu metal, but you like System Of A Down...
  7. i was gonna suggest metro by soad, but youve already learnt that probably...
how about....99 red balloons by goldfinger?
  8. All Pixes songs and almost all Smashing Pumpkins songs have pretty simple basslines.

And there's a song by K's choice called "Not an addict". It has one of the more effective basslines I've heard.
  9. Twilight Zone - Golden Earring
    Radar Love - Golden Earring
    All Blink 182
    Coma White - Marilyn Manson

I just ate beef jerky so I can't think of anymore...:p

Anything by Hendrix, the Beatles, Sublime's self titled albulm or old walking jazz lines are cool and not insanely hard.

If thats too easy check out stuff like:

    Tom Sawyer -Rush
    Ruby Baby -Donald Fagen
    Areoplane -Red Hot Chilli Peppers

I dunno, theres lots of good ones. If u like my list e-mail me 4 more.
  11. Old skool chili's - any thing pre 90's: stone cold bush is good fun.
Rhcp - around the world, power of equality, coffee shop, areoplane, if u have to ask
Hendrix: Band of gypsies not the experience.
Mark king / level 42 - dune tune, hot water, love games
Les claypool of primus has the awakening solo which is piss.
    The who - my generation
    Led Zeppelin - Immigrant song
Primus - the heckler (alot of primus syuff is not that hard)
Ratm - Take the power back
Tool - most of it. (26 days til i see em)
    Stu Hamm - Quahogs Anyone??
Motown funk stuff (stevie wonder, jackson 5, james brown sorta stuff)
