http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/msg/1296202701.html Yeah, does anyone have experiences with this amp? Or brand? Any input would be awesome. Gracias.
heck yeah! that baby was my second amp! well, not that one, but the same model. pro: -it's affordable -decent sound (it's no svt, that's for sure, but the 15 pushes enough low end to make it sound like a bass amp.) -easily transported -parametric eq con: -no horn control (they may have removed the horn on the design, but mine had one) -high end hiss (not bad at low volume, or if you cut the highs) -guitar players rarely heard me over drummers (i could hear myself just fine) -drummers rarely heard me over themselves (then again, these were teenagers playing as hard as they could.) -knobs felt cheap. they never broke, but they don't feel solid to me. -speaker blew after a couple of years -slight crackle when i turned the eq knobs. it'll get you by. i'd recommend running it through a p.a. whenever possible, however. it's not the greatest, but $60 sounds like a good enough deal to me.
"Rogue" is the old house brand by Musician's Friend/Guitar Center "Acoustic" is one of their new house brands. If you don't know what you're doing, buying used of any brand is a coin toss. Take someone along who does know. (Not your drummer)
it's musiciansfriend.com's "house brand". It's crap, but for $60 (obo!) would probably be an ok deal.

I would go with the Fender BXR first and the Peavey TKO 2nd (it only has 75 watts). I would not buy the Rogue. Those other 2 are much better and those are good prices if they work.
i actually bought a peavey tko when the speaker blew on my rogue. it's better, but not by much. go with the fender, as long as it works.
Offer $75 for the fender and settle with $100. If it works ok, speaker is in good shape, no repairs needed beyond a little deoxit spray, that's not a bad deal for the money.
