this week has been horrendous as far as my playing goes. i am having quite a tough time adjusting to the 5th string, uni and work are eating into my practice time and i seem to be going backwards. usually i have a week off, but this time i want to keep going because now i see it as a challenge that i have to overcome.

anyone else have weeks like this?:meh: :rollno:

    Usually not the whole week.

But then again, since Friday I've had a fever and my abs have been killing me because on Thursday I was doin sprints with my pole (pole vaulter) and it was absolute rape on them...didn't think the soreness would be this bad.

Anyways, I've thought enough times in theese past 2 days that I was gonna vomit...
  3. hey! i get that feeling when my drummer can't count in in time! :help: :ninja:

I have had my moments, but not for an entire week.

Are you a music major at uni?
  10. I just moved to a new place and got stuck with a week of playing in a very bad sound environment. the ambience and the Acoustics were terrible making it hard to get the levels right when jamming to a CD on the Hi-fi. That and the fact I'm completely impoverished and have to live on 2 minute Noodles and Choc Chip Cookies for 2 weeks... Yuk'n'Chuck eh!

no, electronic engineering major. i'm studying music(bass) with a private teacher.

i have to put in a lot of time to do moderately well in engineering, and that's my chosen profession. music is something i am working on, its a profession in the construction phase.

i view engineering as the 'fallback' plan should i not be able to make it as a professional musician somewhere down the line, so i have to make sure i do well and pass everything.

Yes. 6-day work week, more than my "fair" share of dealing with the s*** sliding down hill, and I'm still going to get yelled at when I get into the paper in the morning, most likely, for having to cop about an hour and a half of overtime.

Corporate America is turning to the "understaff the workplace" trend. It just sucks.

Oh, and I think I may be out a couple hundred dollars, but we'll get back into that later this week.
