Roscoe - Jimmy Haslip on the Jing Chi albums

MTD - normstockton.com
I appologize if I'm wrong but I believe I read that Jimmy Haslip mentioned using an old Tobias for Jing Chi.
When I was trying to choose between Roscoe or F bass I was listening to sound clips as well. The clips that made the difference were of Jimmy's playing. I really liked that the Roscoe had so much identifiable character. They really have a sound all their own.
My bad. I did not check, but just looked for something from the early 2000s. He was playing his Roscoe live every time I saw him and I figured he used it on the recordings too. You know what they say about figure...it makes a fig out of u and re.
Is he playing the Roscoe on Mint Jam?
Nice avatar BTW.
I listened to the Jing Chi album you had a link to. I know I read he was using an old Tobias but it sure sounds like a Roscoe on that particular album to me. Maybe he used the Tobias on the other album.
I just looked in on the Yellowjackets website. He's playing the Roscoe on Mint Jam, the live album. It looks as if he's playing the MTD on the newest one though.
