Anyone heard of this G-K amp?

I'm a singer/guitarist who is going to be playing bass fulltime now. I have a P Bass and am looking to get a decent head. A guy nearby has an old Gallien-Krueger 300B head and cab that I have the opportunity to trade for. Does anyone know much about these? The musical style I'll be playing is original, ranging in sound from the Beatles to Pearl Jam to some blues. Would this amp meet my needs? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The 300B is an older model that was made in the late 70s/early 80s. It was replaced by the 400RB and 800RB which arrived in 1982.

A 300B puts out 150 watts into 4 ohms and is relatively large and heavy. $200 would be top dollar for one.
