I bet that would help you get a gig. You could have someone make an offer to a bar owner that he couldn't refuse...

But seriously, I was bored last weekend so I rented the first 2 Godfather movies, and i'm also a huge fan of Goodfellas. I can relate to these because I work at a restaurant back home, and the owner is a mafioso. I love listining to one of the waitesses (who parents used to own the restaurant) becasue she always tells me crazy stories about people who actually go in there and other mafiosos in the city ect. It's kind of crazy that all this stuff goes in right in my own town.

    Other things about the owners.
    - Italian, lots of money, and they don't give a dam about their business. They are not making money at all.
    - His dad was one of the original owners of a very high class Italian restaurant in Detroit back in the 50's and 60's that was rumored to be mafia runned.
    - The city counsil tried to ban him from actually buying the restaurant.
    - As soon as he did buy the restaurant, he banned every cop from the place.

I can't name this place, but I still think this is cool. I'm sure some of you people have some Mafia connections in some way, lets hear them.

Growing up in Chicago my Dad used to tell me stories about some of the clubs he played in,where the gansters would
have to check there guns at the door.we lived right up the
street from the Garage where the St.Valentines massacer
took place. My dad playes at alot of "Private" gigs for some of the connected guys to.There is one story he told me about a
gangster named Sam Paris that had his own bowling alley
in the basement of his house.

Often, Chinese restaurant owners rent out their restaurants after hours for parties. I doubt it was any sort of mob thing.

Well, I may not know somebody, but I might know somebody who knows somebody who knows somebody in the mafia.

You didn't hear me say that.

Honestly I really didn't hear you say that.

Maybe I should turn my speakers up or something. Is anyone else getting audio on this thread??

Anyone here with mob ties that decides to tell us all about them can probably count on that being their last post here at TB. I think the real mobsters prefer to remain anonymous.

Yes, because I'm sure mobsters are patrolling TB waiting to see if they get a shout-out.

Well i'm sure they are not real mobsters, it's probably just all in my mind.

Besides all the dangerous ones are behind bars now, so none of us have to worry.

I think John Turner's in the mob. Think about it.

    Just think about it.

Living in an affluent neighboarhood that is roughly one quarter Italian, I've met quite a few people with maffia ties. Ironically, the Sopranos film down the street from me.
