Anyone here help ID this bass body?

    I've asked this previously 2 or 3 years ago and frankly don't recall the verdict...I bought this bass several years ago, it's a P style bass with a weird, fretless neck and the strangest headstock ever.

    The only possible hint is the bolt on neck reads Made in Japan. The guy before me added the Fender label, it's obviously not a Fender but it looks cool so I left it.

    Any thoughts on the make?

    I swear someone posted that same mangled headstock asking the same question within the last month or two...

    That might be some made-up neck. It's not even centered to the body.
