Can you give me some input on how the deal went? They seem very reputable and honest. The information I've found online about them is notthing but good, but I'd like to hear some first hand accounts if anyone has done business with them.

    Thanks!

I'm searching TalkBass wondering the same thing...

  3. I've heard nothing but positive, but I also remember hearing that they won't ship to USA anymore. Worth trying.

FWIW, I visited 2 of them in Tokyo in the Fall of '08. Purchased a used non-export MIJ 75RI-90US (US pickups) from the East Shinjuku branch... Friendly staff & with a little help from a customer fluent in English & our hotel consierge (sp?), they were very accomodating (held the bass for me while going to other parts of Japan and they packed it for shipping on the airplane) when I came back to pick it up. We're going back in a few years and I've already told (explained to actually...hehe) my wife that I need a rosewood board non-export to go with my maple one... Ishibashi will be one of my first stops.

I keep threatening to post a picture of it (in a few different threads) but haven't yet...
