Anyone Know About The Sunn 350L?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by The Golden Boy, Dec 28, 2005.

  1. Does anyone have any info on the Sunn 350L? I'm not sure of the age, or even what should be in the amp. Reverb and Tremelo, along with 4x6550s!!!

The 350L was a later (early 70's) version of the Sunn 1000S. A conservative 150 watts. The 1000S started out with 4 X KT88's, but switched to 6550's around 1969 because of inconsistent supply and increased cost of British valves. Most were SS rectified, a few were dual GZ34's.
I think the schematics are virtually identical to the 1000S and you can find them fairly easily online.
There was also a 350B which was the same scenario as above but an updated 2000S bass amp, the same amp but without reverb or tremelo.
