Discussion in 'Effects [BG]' started by napabass, Jul 14, 2005.

  1. Great unit for practice. Anyone know what the actual equivalent amp names are for each of the 10 amp models on the KORG PX4B Pandora multi-effect processor? Their names are:

    Valve
    Valve2
    Classic
    Scooped
    LA Studio
    Goldpanel
    Jazz
    Studio
    AC100
    UK Major

And here comes the thread resurection....:D

I was trying to find answer to this very same question. Found the thread but no answers. After four years does someone know the equivalents? The manual gives you some info but no direct answers. (look from effect parameters)

    I like turtles.
I don't know all of them, but a couple are fairly obvious, and I can guess at others.

    AC100 - Vox AC100

    UK Major - Marshall Major

Goldpanel - Could be another Marshall? Like a Super Bass or something?

Valve - Makes me think Ampeg

Classic - Again makes me think Ampeg. Maybe a B15.

    Scooped - Trace Elliott?

Jazz - For some reason I want to say Acoustic 360.

I thought Goldpanel was maybe an Eden copy and I think I read that Jazz was a Polytone MiniBrute emulation

I think that scooped is Hartke cos recommended cab is "MTL4X10 Four 10-inch aluminum-cone speakers / modern cabinet model for bass."
Cold panel could be Eden "A bass amp distinctive for its eye-catching gold panel and
    clean sound."
Velve is most likely SVT UKMajor is Marshall Major.
What is LA ? SWR ?
(Didn want to make a guess at first if someone has real facts)

Btw. Here is link where you can find all the cab models frequency charts

STUDIO* A vacuum tube combo bass amp ideal for the Motown sound. (recommended CAB: STU1X15)
AC100 A 100W vacuum tube bass amp made by Vox. (recommended CAB: AC 2X15)
UKMAJOR A 200W vacuum tube bass amp made in the UK.
(recommended CAB: UK 4X15, UK 4X12)
LA STUD* A bass amp that is typical of the LA sound. (recommended CAB: LA 4X10, LA 1X18)
GOLDPNL A bass amp distinctive for its eye-catching gold panel and clean sound. (recommended CAB: MDN4X10)
JAZZ A combo bass amp favored by jazz bassists. (recommended CAB: JAZ1X15)

Ampeg has the ULTRA LO switch so it for VALVE looks correct.
